Procedural Dermatology
Minor Dermatologic Surgery
Minor dermatologic surgery includes clinic-based shave removals and excisions for skin lesions. It is focused dermatologic care—not plastic or cosmetic surgery—and whether it is the right option depends on the diagnosis, size, site and closure required.
When surgery is the right option, Dr. Saadé discusses local anesthesia, the removal method, pathology where needed and the scar that should be expected. More complex surgery is referred when it falls outside safe clinic-based scope.
