Benign Skin Lesion Removal
Benign lesions may be considered for removal when they are repeatedly irritated, symptomatic or troublesome. Assessment still comes first to confirm the likely diagnosis and choose a method that fits the lesion and its location.
Not every harmless lesion needs treatment, and every removal leaves some form of healing mark. The expected benefit, technique, alternatives, pathology needs and likely scar are discussed before proceeding.
